Carl gave the greatest sacrifice to King and Country. He Served in WW1 from February 1915 to March 1919 and then in Ireland as part of the Kings Escort for the state Opening of Parliament, and then Killed by IRA Rebel Activists at Adavoyle on 24th June 1921.

He was give a Full Military Honor Funeral at St Mary's Chuch,Walton,Felixstowe.

 "At the going down of the sun, we will Rember Them,Least we not forget".
